We’re looking for a technically skilled refrigeration & HVAC professional to step into our newly created Regional Technical Sales Position. Ideally based out of Manawatu, this role will see you working with customers across Taranaki, Manawatu, Whanganui and Hawke’s Bay, strengthening partnerships and helping clients find the right solutions for their commercial and industrial refrigeration & HVAC needs.

This role primarily supports Excel Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and EcoChill Ltd while also advocating for a third brand, ICE Electrical, where opportunities arise. You’ll be employed by Excel Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Ltd and part of a wider group that is well recognised across the refrigeration & HVAC industry.

This is a permanent, full time position with a strong technical focus- it’s not commission-based sales. You’ll be building trust through expertise, industry knowledge and a solutions-focused approach.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Engage directly with customers across the region to understand their refrigeration & HVAC requirements
• Promote Excel Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Ltd and EcoChill Ltd to potential clients while also representing ICE Electrical as appropriate
• Support project planning and equipment selection alongside our wider team
• Grow and maintain strong customer relationships in line with our company values
• Provide technical guidance and solutions at a commercial/industrial level
• Play a key role in shaping this new position and driving its success

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Proven experience in the refrigeration/HVAC trades, ideally at a commercial/industrial level
• Strong technical understanding with the ability to translate expertise into practical customer solutions
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A proactive, approachable and customer-focused attitude
• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently across a regional territory
