WHAT'S INVOLVED

The core function of this role is to develop the detailed design of large-scale industrial projects with the potential to oversee the implementation of these projects as a Project Manager. To do this you will;

• Work with our design team and clients to determine project requirements
• Design mechanical piping systems and pressure equipment from process engineering outputs
• Develop engineering designs and drawings for construction
• Carry out stress analysis on piping systems and pressure equipment
• Work through the design review and design verification processes
• Oversee the construction and installation of multi disciplinary projects
• Manage project budgets and timelines
• Manage quality control and documentation
• Develop and nurture strong client relationships
• Ensure compliance with industry codes and regulations notably PEPCR.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders
• Provide technical support to clients and project teams

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• 5+ years industrial mechanical engineering experience
• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Expertise in Plant 3D, Autopipe and pressure vessel design
• Familiarity with mechanical design standards ASME B31.3 & B31.5
• Project management and leadership skills
• Full New Zealand driver’s license
• Experience in an industrial project delivery environment
• Technology proficiency
• Ability to work under pressure in a fully integrated team environment
• Accreditation as a chartered engineer preferred but not required
