Excel Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Waikato is looking for an air conditioning/refrigeration installation technician to be part of our fantastic projects team.

This role suits someone with a strong mechanical background, or who is qualified in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (or Refrigeration), preferably a restricted or better EST Licence and who enjoys the installation/projects environment. We’re also looking for someone with the ability to lead the projects that they’re working on. If that sounds like you, we’d like to meet you!

THE ROLE:

• Installing and commissioning commercial air conditioning systems ranging from ducted split to roof top package units, chillers etc
• Works across a range of client sites from commercial retailers to large industrial exporters
• Works within a small projects team reporting directly to the Business Development & Project Manager
• General Hours 7.30am to 4pm
• Competitive remuneration

EXPECT TO:

• Commit to health, safety and environment first practices
• Liaise with clients and provide a high standard of work
• Provide planned Project job layout on site + how each stage will come together as part of the installation team
• Diagnose and solve heating and cooling issues
• Interpret plans and drawings to accurately work to them
• Carry out site measurements and assist with fabrication/engineering of ducting
• Contribute to a successful team
• Be a team player
